Darius & Tyler Vaughn

Tyler and Darius met in September 2015 at Eastern Michigan University in an Audio Engineering class. At the time, both were studying Electronic Media. Darius majored in Communications and chose Electronic Media as his minor, while Tyler majored in Electronic Media and minored in Theater. What started as a simple class connection quickly grew into something more as they spent time together and got to know each other.

During their time at Eastern, they dated and fell in love. Their connection was real and meaningful, but at that point in their lives it simply wasn’t their time, and they eventually went their separate ways.

In 2021, God reconnected them. What felt like a chance reconnection quickly made it clear that their story wasn’t finished. With more life experience, growth, and faith, they were able to come back together in a way that was stronger and more intentional than before.

On May 30, 2021, Darius asked Tyler to be his girlfriend, beginning a new chapter in their relationship. Since then, they have continued to grow together, falling more in love with each passing year.

On January 18, 2026, Darius asked Tyler to be his wife, marking the beginning of the next chapter in a love story that has always found its way back to each other.
